ORLANDO, Fla.—Cingular Wireless said it plans to invest more than $700 million in its Gulf States region network, including Florida, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana.
The investment will be used for enhancing call quality and network coverage. During the year, the company said it plans to deploy more 400 new cell sites and 100,000 more digital voice paths on existing cellular towers in the region this year.
