ATLANTA-i2Go Inc. announced it formed the i2Go telematics and mobile technologies division, created to provide greater focus on emerging connectivity technologies and speed the delivery of the ConnectedCar, which allows users to access Internet information in an audio format.
The telematics division designs, develops and licenses technology for various mobile-device manufacturers, tier-one automotive suppliers and auto makers, i2Go said.
Todd Winkler, formerly director of business development with i2Go, was promoted to vice president and general manager of the new division.
