Comparecellular develops phone comparison program for Futureshop

VANCOUVER, British Columbia-Comparecellular, a Canadian online cellular phone resource for consumers, has developed a cellular phone comparison program for Futureshop.ca, an online branch of the Canadian electronics store Future Shop. Al Kilburn, founder of the site, said, “We have attracted the interest of Future Shop because they can see the value-added potential for their consumers.”

Comparecellular said the deal will give it national exposure and open the possibilities of marketing its program to companies in different markets.

Behzad Khostowshahi, executive vice president of merchandising and supply chain for Future Shop, agreed. “The addition of this customized program from Comparecellular to our Web site will go a long way in assisting our customers with this purchase decision and is in line with our strategy of continuing to utilize our Web site to provide our customers and sales associates with current product information.”

According to the 12-month agreement, Future Shop will pay Comparecellular an annual user fee and a fee for building and maintaining the program.
