AUSTIN, Texas-traq-wireless Inc., a Web-based provider of wireless management solutions for business, acquired the cellular resale business of Motorola Cellular Service Inc.
“Acquiring the MCSI cellular reseller business represents a great opportunity for traq-wireless to use a solid Motorola business as a platform to launch our [business-to-business] Internet-based wireless management service,” said Paul Reidy, president and chief executive officer of traq-wireless. “Our goal is to be the preferred management solution for companies looking for a more efficient way to purchase wireless service and equipment, and the addition of MCSI’s cellular reseller business to our company is a step in that direction.”
Motorola will acquire a minority ownership stake in traq-wireless as part of the transaction.
