NEW YORK-Globalstar L.P. announced it launched four more low-earth-orbit satellites on July 10, bringing the total number of satellites in orbit to 28.
The four satellites were launched on a Boeing Delta II rocket from Cape Canaveral, Fla. The company needs 32 satellites in orbit to complete its constellation for limited service, and 48 for maximum system capacity. It plans further launches throughout the year.
