Andrew Corp. elected Guy Campbell group president of wireless products and distributed communications systems. Campbell joined Andrew from Ericsson Inc., where most recently he was vice president of wireless business systems.

Alaska DigiTel

Alaska DigiTel selected Kris Perry as general manager. She will supervise all sales, marketing and operational activities for the company. Perry joins Alaska DigiTel from MTA Wireless, where she was most recently general manager.

Berliner Communications

Berliner Communications Inc. announced William J. Rose is its new chief financial officer. Rose joins Berliner from Metromedia Co., where he was vice president and CFO. Prior to that, Rose was division controller of Nuclear Power Services’ oil and gas division.

Hughes

Hughes Space and Communications Co. named Randy Brinkley senior vice president of programs. He will be responsible for the company’s Department of Defense, national security, digital processing and fixed-satellite service/broadcast satellite service markets, as well as the launch services acquisition group. Brinkley’s 32 years of experience include serving as a senior executive at NASA and a manager at McDonnell Douglas Corp.

CellNet

CellNet Data Systems Inc. named John T. LaMacchia president and chief executive officer. LaMacchia previously served as president and CEO of Cincinnati Bell Inc.

SCC Communications

SCC Communications Corp. promoted Barbara Winters to vice president of program management. Winters will oversee all program-management functions, including new products and service deployment and new technology implementation. She also will lead SCC’s business-process engineering and strategic-planning efforts. She joined the company as director of program management in 1997.

Craig Donaldson was named assistant vice president and general counsel for SCC. Donaldson joined the company as director of corporate legal services and general counsel in 1997. He will continue to manage the company’s legal matters and help carry out its business strategy.

SiteSafe

Wes McGee, former chief executive officer of CommSite, is now CEO of SiteSafe.

Daniels & Associates

Daniels & Associates promoted Don Bechter to senior vice president. Bechter joined Daniels in 1992 with several years of corporate finance and commercial banking experience. He previously was vice president of Duff & Phelps Financial Consulting Co.

Cricket Communications

Paul M. Argay was appointed senior vice president of marketing and sales for Cricket Communications, a subsidiary of Leap Wireless International Inc. Prior to joining the company in February, Argay was vice president of marketing at American Personal Communications, where he was in charge of the marketing and product-development department. He also has worked for Proctor & Gamble, Nestle and Haagen-Dazs.

CenturyTel

CenturyTel Inc. said Ken Cole will continue in his role as executive vice president and chief operating officer and that Bruce Hanks, who had filled the COO position during the company’s organizational restructuring, will transfer to a strategic initiatives position.

Stewart Ewing was named executive vice president and retains his chief financial officer title and responsibilities.

Harvey Perry was named executive vice president and chief administrative officer and will keep his general counsel and secretary title and responsibilities.

The company also created a senior vice president and chief information officer position, which Mike Maslowski, formerly with Lucent Technologies Inc., will fill.

WirelessNorth

WirelessNorth promoted its accounting coordinator, Maribeth Chlan, to accounting manager. She will be responsible for accounts payable and receivable. She was formerly a business office coordinator at Mincep Epilepsy Care.

Boonton Electronics

Boonton Electronics Corp. appointed Robert Hannon chief financial officer. Hannon will oversee all of Boonton Electronics’ financial transactions and programs. Before joining Boonton, Hannon was the treasurer, CFO and president of Artisan Controls Corp., a manufacturer of solid-state timing devices.

MasTec

MasTec Inc. said its vice chairman of the board of directors, Joel-Tomas Citron, has been given the additional title and responsibilities of company president. Carmen M. Sabater was named senior vice president and chief financial officer, and Jorge Mas remains chairman of the board and chief executive officer.

Linx

Linx Communications appointed Gerard P. McEleney vice president of sales for unified communications services and will be responsible for the services’ nationwide sales. McEleney comes to Linx from Raytheon Electronics, where he was vice president of sales and marketing. He also worked 17 years at Nynex Corp. in various sales, marketing and customer relations positions.

Mobex

Jim Prindel was appointed vice president of Mobex Communications Inc.’s western region. Prindel will oversee all operational aspects of the commercial services sector for the company’s western region. He served 25 years with Motorola Inc., where he most recently was the director of operations, responsible for all aspects of Motorola’s cellular subscriber business in Japan.

Thomas Kellogg was appointed vice president of managed services. Kellogg will be responsible for establishing relationships with major consumers of wireless communications. Previously, Kellogg was the chief financial officer at IllumElex Corp.

LCC International

C. Thomas Faulders III joined LCC International Inc. as president and chief executive officer. Faulders had served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of BDM International Inc. prior to joining LCC, and also worked for MCI Communications Corp. Richard Hozik, LCC senior vice president, treasurer, CFO and president of Microcell Management, and Stuart Lawson, LCC vice president of finance and controller, are leaving the company to assume positions at VarsityBooks.com, and online supplier of college textbooks.
