NEW YORK-Brite Voice Systems said it is using Sun Microsystems’ Netra t 1120 server in the
release of its Version 4.2 BriteESP enhanced services platform, which provides applications such as prepaid calling and
voice-activated dialing to telecommunications companies.
The Netra t 1120 server will improve the performance of
the platform as well as increase subscriber capacity from 150,000 to 300,000 subscribers, said Brite. It contains two
UltraSPARC central processing units, offers versatile and compact rack mounting and runs Sun’s standard Solaris
operating environment.
