CHICAGO-Ameritech reported it earned $684 million in the fourth quarter, an increase of 12.1
percent from its earnings of $610 million in fourth quarter 1997. Earnings per share increased 10.9 percent to 61 cents
per share, up from 55 cents a the year before.
Ameritech also reported fourth-quarter revenues of $4.4 billion, up 7.1
percent from its fourth-quarter 1997 revenues of $4.15 billion.
