QUALCOMM PREMIERES THIN PHONE

SAN DIEGO-Qualcomm Inc. today introduced the Qualcomm Thin Phone featuring an ultra-thin
design with an internal battery that supports up to 10 hours of talk time and eight days of stand-by time.

Weighing
about 4 ounces, the Thin Phone also features an external battery option that can be added to the phone to supplement
the internal battery without interrupting conversations or data transfer.

The handset incorporates Qualcomm’s latest
Code Division Multiple Access Mobile Station Modem, the single-chip MSM3000. The data connectivity kit allows
users to download phone-book information from their personal computer or any device connected to it, to the
Qualcomm Thin Phone’s 99 memory storage location via an optional data cable. The phone also will support a new
generation of wireless microbrowsers for access to the Internet and information-based services.
