RICHARDSON, Texas-Pacific Bell Mobile Services launched its personal communications services network in San Francisco using Global System for Mobile communications technology. Ericsson Inc. supplied the GSM equipment and phones.
Bo Hedfors, president and chief executive officer of Ericsson Inc., said the launch is Pac Bell’s fourth using Ericsson-supplied GSM equipment. Other markets were San Diego, Las Vegas and Sacramento, Calif.
