ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill.-Motorola Inc.’s International Cellular Infrastructure Group will expand the Global System for Mobile communications network in the United Arab Emirates for Etisalat.
The expansion, which is scheduled to be completed by year end, includes Motorola’s M-Cell GSM base stations and technical support for the network. Motorola supplied the original GSM system with a capacity of 30,000 subscribers to Etisalat in November 1994 and expanded it in 1995.
