LIGHTBRIDGE PRODUCTS PROVIDE CAR RIERS CAPABILITY TO ANALYZE

Lightbridge Inc. is introducing a new modular line of analytical products and services designed specifically for wireless carriers.

The Wireless Intelligence decision support system provides carriers with detailed information about their distribution channels, customers and sales trends, the company said.

Lightbridge said it uses data warehousing technology to provide fast access to a large variety of information, analyzing and categorizing data so the average business executive can easily identify patterns and trends to aid in decision-making.

The first module in the Wireless Intelligence line is called Channel Wizard. Carriers can track and compare the performance of their various sales channels to better allocate marketing budgets and react quickly to market changes, the company said.

Channel performance can be tracked on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. The company said detailed information can be obtained about each storefront, agent and mass merchant selling the carrier’s service, including the number of activations brought in, the amount of revenue generated, the types of rate plans being closed and the amount of churn occurring.

“The goal is to allow the executive to create his or her own analysis with real time information,” said Lisa Modisette, the company’s director of wireless intelligence solutions. “The average marketing executive in the wireless industry may not know how each sales channel performed last week or even last month … executives need to react quickly to these changes in the marketplace,” she said.

Lightbridge said it plans to introduce a second module-Churn Prophet-in the third quarter of this year. It will help companies identify the customer most likely to switch carriers and create targeted retention programs to prevent churn.
