Cornell to open RFIC laboratory

ITHACA, N.Y.-Cornell University announced it will open a laboratory to design and test radio-frequency integrated circuits, including those in cellular phones and wireless devices.

The Cornell Broadband Communications Research Laboratory will include a file server and 25 high-performance RS-6000 workstations. The lab will be used to train next-generation RF engineers and conduct research in the design of future broadband communications systems.
