Seven adds Orange to customer list

REDWOOD CITY, Calif.-Wireless corporate e-mail company Seven announced it scored Orange as a new customer, and that the carrier will offer Seven’s unique network-based corporate information product in the United Kingdom.

Seven’s service, dubbed Office Freedom by Orange, gives mobile workers wireless access to Microsoft Exchange and Lotus Domino e-mail, calendar, personal contacts, corporate directories and tasks. The service works through Orange’s network, meaning there is no hardware for the customer to install, and it supports a range of devices.

Seven also counts Cingular Wireless and Sprint PCS as customers.

The company is positioning its service as an alternative to Research In Motion Ltd.’s service and BlackBerry device.
