Brightpoint set to re-enter Poland

After more than 11 years Brightpoint Inc. (CELL) said it has re-entered the Polish supply chain market through its Brightpoint Poland Sp. z o.o. operations. The company said the move will allow for support of its partners in Poland.
Brightpoint said it will offer customers in the region access to its “E-toolbox with white label web shops and procurement services with forecast and demand planning tools. Brightpoint will also focus on developing the mobile business for its channel and vendor partners.”
“Poland is one of the largest markets in Europe with a growing demand for wireless devices,” stated Anurag Gupta, President, Europe, Middle East and Africa, at Brightpoint. “The decision to re-enter Poland is in line with our global strategic plan to expand our geographic footprint and deliver unique services to the wireless industry. Brightpoint will provide its services to both vendors and the channels, reinforcing our position as the leading provider of value-added logistic and distribution services in Europe.”
Brightpoint had originally left the Polish market in mid-1999 as part of a company-wide restructuring plan.
