Movers and Shakers: Brda joins Eden Rock board; Mojiva hires Nethercutt; and more

Eden Rock Communications appointed Bruce Brda to its board of directors. Brda is a senior vice president and general manager for Motorola’s Networks business.
Mojiva Inc., which owns the Mojiva mobile ad network and Mocean Mobile ad platform, named Tony Nethercutt general manager for North America. Most recently, Nethercutt was vice president of sales at Admob. He also has held positions with Yahoo and YouTube.
4G Americas announced Neville Ray, CTO at T-Mobile USA, has been re-elected to serve as 2011 chairperson of the group’s board of governors. The board also re-elected Jean-Louis Carrara vice president of business development at Gemalto, to serve another term as the treasurer of the organization.
Magnus Almquist has been named vice president of worldwide sales at Stoke Inc., which develops mobile broadband gateway products. Almquist will be responsible for wordwide sales and will lead the expansion of the company’s field service organization. He joins the company from Ericsson, where he led sales development and business support for the IP & Broadband product area.
Former FCC Chairman Kevin Martin has joined AirWalk Communications’ board of directors. The company, which specializes in small cell base stations, said the appointment is part of its new expansion stage.
Bruce Braun has been named senior vice president of sales and business development at mobile barcode scanning solutions company NeoMedia Technologies Inc. Braun’s 20 years of experience includes positions with CBS, USA Networks and Turner Broadcasting. His initial focus in his new role will include driving brand and agency sales in North America for NeoMedia’s NeoSphere and NeoReader products.
