Sequans Communications said WiMAX device developer Accton Wireless Broadband has chosen Sequans’ chips for several of its new WiMAX products, including an advanced USB dongle and two integrated access devices. Sequans also announced an agreement with Huawei to provide chips for WiMAX USB dongles, modems and customer premises equipment.

Vodafone announced the winner of its Vodafone AppStar competition. FlickrShow was the top prize winner according to a public vote, and developer Pedro Campos was awarded the 100,000 Euro prize. The application allows users to access Flickr to create slide shows and search photos by keyword, username, color and location using GPS technology.
