Alltel’s Mobile Dashboard gives workers info on the go

In an attempt to keep up with the needs of today’s businesses, Alltel Communications L.L.C. launched a new service allowing workers with smartphones access to client information and data while on the go.
According to the carrier, Webalo Mobile Dashboard allows mobile workers to receive customer data in a format that is easy to read and navigate with a smartphone. With the solution, field workers can access a customer’s data, order status, inventory lists, performance indicators and other company information without having to return to the office or wait to connect through a laptop. This, the carrier said, allows mobile workers to answer questions and close deals on the spot.
David Maddox, Alltel VP of product marketing, said in a statement that when mobile workers meet with customers, they need to be connected with their companies’ enterprise resources.
“When decisions need to be made quickly, businesses can trust that data will be available on demand with the Webalo Mobile Dashboard,” he said.
Alltel said the solution is designed for business of all sizes and can be implemented by non-IT staff. The solution can also be integrated into a company’s server for firewall purposes.
The solution is available for $25 per month per device and is compatible with all BlackBerry models on operating system Version 4.0 or above, HTC PPC 6800, Motorola Q9c and all devices running Java using the MIDP 2.0 and CLDC 1.1 standards. A complete list of devices is available at alltelsolutions.com.
