MetroPCS Communications Inc. (PCS) said it has launched LTE services in the Tampa, Fla., area, expanding the offering now to all of its 14 markets. The carrier’s service is also available in Atlanta; Boston; Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas; Detroit; Jacksonville, Miami and Orlando, Fla.; Las Vegas; Los Angeles; New York; Sacramento and San Francisco, Calif.; and Philadelphia.
Rate plans for the LTE offering range from $50 to $60 per month for unlimited calling, messaging and Internet access, with the higher fee accorded access to the carrier’s MetroStudio mobile content offering.
Devices compatible with the LTE network include Samsung Telecommunications America’s Craft touch screen feature phone and the recently unveiled Indulge smartphone.
