REDWOOD CITY, Calif.-The enterprise wireless LAN market showed strong results in the third quarter, increasing 9 percent sequentially to $249 million. According to Dell’Oro Group, growth was due greatly to WLAN switch, server and appliance sales, which rose 22 percent in the third quarter.
However, sales of small office/home-office WLAN equipment grew only 2 percent in the third quarter-much slower than the 10-plus percentage increases posted in 3Q 2004 and 3Q 2003.
