PAGING COMPANIES TEAM FOR CROSS-BORDER SERVICE

HARTFORD, Conn.-Message Center USA is teaming with Continental Paging Corp. of Canada to offer an integrated North American paging service between Canada and the United States on their common 900 MHz paging channel.

The Canadian Connection service will employ a combined total of 735 satellite-controlled transmitter sites in major metropolitan areas, Message Center said.

Mtel begins nationwide

paging services in Peru

JACKSON, Miss.-Mobile Telecommunication Technologies Corp. is introducing nationwide wireless messaging in Peru through a joint venture with Tele 2000, called SkyTel del Peru.

Mtel International owns 45 percent of SkyTel del Peru; Tele 2000 owns 55 percent. Mtel also provides services in Argentina, Colombia, Brazil and Paraguay.
