Venture capital financing wrap-up: BlackArrow, Kineto, Trilibis and more

The following list includes venture capital and other investments into wireless companies announced during the past week. The value of the investment is included when available.
—BlackArrow: Cisco Systems, Comcast Interactive Capital, Intel Capital, Mayfield Fund and Polaris Venture Partners invested $20 million into BlackArrow, which provides multiplatform ad-management systems for viewer-controlled video. All of the investors were previous investors in the company, which has raised a total of $38 million to date.
—Dexterra: New Enterprise Associates led a $21.5 million round of funding into Dexterra Inc., which provides software to automate and manage mobile work forces. Existing investors Canaan Partners, Intel Capital, Mesirow Financial, Motorola Ventures and Sigma Partners also participated in the funding round. The funding will be used to advance the company’s product lines.
—Kineto Wireless: Motorola led a $15.5 million investment round into Kineto Wireless, which provides FMC solutions for mobile operators. Existing investors Oak Investment Partners, Sutter Hill Ventures, Venrock, Seapoint Ventures and InterDigital also participated in the round.
—Melodis: TransLink Capital led a $7 million Series B funding round into search and sound recognition company Melodis Corp. The funds will be used to monetize and distribute Melodis’ music search technology. JAIC America and Global Catalyst Partners also participated in the funding. As part of the funding, Jay H. Eum, managing director of TransLink, joins the company’s board of directors.
—Oberon Media: The Infinity I-China Fund invested $20 million into gaming company Oberon Media. The investment is part of a larger global strategy for Oberon and Infinity that calls for the companies to expand the casual game publishing and distribution business and establish new partnerships in China. Oberon is headquartered in New York.
—Trilibis Mobile: Altos Ventures led a $5.7 million round of funding into Trilibis Mobile, which publishes interactive network applications for mobile phones. The Series B funding round also included participation from ATA Ventures and several early individual investors. Ho Nam, general partner at Altos Ventures, and Mike Hodges, managing director of ATA Ventures, join Trilibis Mobile’s board of directors in connection with the funding. The new funding will be used to develop next-generation products as well as for marketing and sales efforts.
