WAYLAND, Mass.-Western Wireless Corp. will beta test InfoCellular Inc.’s InfoCell ConVerge customer service product. The client/server-based product provides functions including customer acquisition, point-of-sale and advanced inventory control.
Western Wireless currently uses the InfoCell Plus system in its personal communications services markets. The company said it decided to beta test the ConVerge system because it wanted to streamline its customer acquisition process with a client/server system that provided point-of-sale functionality.
Western Wireless said it will trial the system in at least one cellular and one PCS store starting in July.
