STANDARD TELECOM’S KIM DIES

Ike Kim, president and chief executive officer of Santa Clara, Calif.-based Standard Telecom America Inc., died Feb. 2 in San Diego.

A service was held Feb. 5 at Duggans Chapel in Belmont, Calif., and the funeral was held Feb. 6.

Standard Telecom America was founded in April 1995 as the U.S. subsidiary of parent company Standard Telecom Co. Ltd., based in Seoul, South Korea.

The Korean parent company manufactures the Nixxo line of POCSAG and FLEX-based pagers-including the Tutti, Tutti-X, POP and Swing Memo-which are marketed by the U.S. company.
