AUSTIN, Texas-Motorola Inc.’s semiconductor products sector said it would reduce its workforce by 4000 jobs in the course of this year as part of its “steps to boost efficiency and profitability.”
The layoffs will involve ending the assignments of contract and temporary employees, attrition and both voluntary and involuntary severance programs, according to the company.
