LONDON-Symbian will now offer Opera Software’s Opera browser as the default browser in its reference designs for communicator devices.
“Symbian’s Communicator devices will offer an Internet experience unrivalled in pocket-sized devices,” said Rof Assev, executive vice president of Opera Software. “For many years Opera Software has developed and refined a browser technology that caters to these devices’ limited screen space and resources.”
Symbian’s first communicator scheduled to ship is the Nokia 9210 Communicator, expected to be available in the first half of this year.
