BroadVision, Cellmania to cooperate on mobile work force applications

REDWOOD CITY, Calif.—BroadVision Inc. and Cellmania In. are joining the widespread efforts to bring mobility and efficiency to field sales and service workers.
The companies plan to combine Cellmania’s new mSales and mService applications with BroadVision’s enterprise self-service application suite to enable wireless access to business process and customer relationship applications from most any mobile device.
“Field service and sales is a natural extension of our enterprise portal strategy,” explained Gino Padua, senior vice president of worldwide business development for BroadVision. “Providing personalized applications for mobile employees and consumers who need to initiate business processes, collaborate and access information is an important part of our multichannel approach to enterprise self-service.”
“This offering addresses an emerging need in the marketplace today for mobile field sales and service solutions,” touted Nicole Nicas, a senior research associate with Aberdeen Group.
