German software firm Software AG is partnering with Australian asset management and technical services company BSA to provide IoT-based building management technology globally.
Software AG has been collaborating with BSA on the Cumulocity Building management solution since early 2019.
?The solution, which has been developed in Australia and now available globally, will provide greater visibility and control of building assets to customers that would not typically have building management systems (BMS) installed due to prohibitive costs,? Software AG said.
The solution will enable BSA?s facility owners and operator customers to connect, monitor, analyze and control the systems in their buildings, saving money and time while increasing operational efficiency and energy saving, Software AG said.
According to Tony Drewitt, Software AG IoT and AI leader, the Cumulocity building management solution will give greater visibility and control of assets to small-to-medium sized facilities and provide better support and smarter maintenance activities while eliminating the necessity for on-site integration and IT infrastructure at customer sites.

?We saw the need in the market for visualization and control of assets in sites where traditional BMS would typically be cost prohibitive,? said Neil Glozier, head of client solutions, APS at BSA.
Glozier said that the use of IoT technology enables BSA to offer a new group of customers from small to medium facilities, access to these capabilities, or in some cases to expand on already integrated systems. ?Through partnering with Software AG, BSA is able to bring a solution to market that adds to our suite of control and automation offerings and enhances our overall services to existing and future clients,? the executive said.
