Nextivity announced that its?Cel-Fi QUATRA RED?in-building public safety Emergency Responder Radio Communication System (ERRCS) solution is now available for partners in the U.S. market.
Cel-Fi QUATRA RED delivers in-building coverage to Land Mobile Radio (LMR) systems and FirstNet-ready devices.
Nextivity said that the solution will be showcased via webinar on August 26 as part of the International Wireless Communications Expo (IWCE) virtual series.

The company highlighted that the Cel-Fi QUATRA RED solution makes it easier for integrators to implement and quickly install communications solutions for the public safety market. QUATRA RED variants include Class A and Class B devices with 56 and 28 channels respectively, which can be shared between 700 or 800 MHz.
The solution also delivers an all-digital cellular signal that is up to 1,000 times stronger, using CAT 5e cabling for RF-over-Ethernet (RFoE) and Power-over-Ethernet (PoE), with no signal attenuation right to the perimeter of the building and without requiring a battery back-up unit with each remote unit. The new offering also features automated commissioning, isolation, and calibration of the uplink/downlink. The future-proof system includes FirstNet bands 2,4, 12, and 14 right out of the box.

Key Cel-Fi QUATRA RED components include a network unit (NU), a coverage unit (CU) and a remote emergency power off switch (EPO).
Nextivity also noted that the QUATRA RED is UL 2524 compliant, NFPA / IFC compliant, and all components are NEMA4 rated.
The Cel-Fi QUATRA RED Class A product will be available to new partners nationwide at the end of September 2020 while the Class B product will be available at the end of November 2020.
