Private cellular network vendor Druid Software has announced new distribution deals for its private LTE core networking solution in the US with Nebraska-based network engineering firm Pierson Wireless and Ohio-based network distributor Winncom Technologies. Both firms will sell the Irish firm’s RAEMIS core networking platform for OnGo branded deployments in CBRS spectrum in the US, targeting the healthcare, education, and manufacturing sectors.
Druid Software has been busy in the old CBRS band, at 3.55-3.7 GHz, newly available for LTE network deployments using privately licensed and shared-spectrum, particularly in the healthcare and education sectors as the Cobid-19 shutdown has forced communities online.
It has a deal with Corning to provide a one-stop-shop for US enterprises planning to deploy OnGo-branded networks. Their package covers service and support, and relieves enterprises of integrating network components, they said. The RAEMIS platform has also featured in a new LTE deployment by systems integrator RF Connect for community healthcare company Memorial Health System in Illinois.
The setup enables connectivity for healthcare devices that would normally attach to an indoor network. Besides, Druid Software has various Industry 4.0-focused deals in Europe, notably with the Port of Rotterdam. The RAEMIS core network can be deployed with a variety of LTE and 5G radio products, supporting licensed, unlicensed, and shared-spectrum. The firm cited “unique features” for fixed-wireless access and mission critical communications.
