NEW YORK-Cingular Wireless L.L.C. launched its Cingular Nation GSM plans in New York City, providing customers with unlimited nationwide mobile-to-mobile calling minutes and 5,000 nationwide night and weekend minutes on top of the plans’ core anytime calling minutes beginning at $50 per month. Cingular added the rate plans also include its Rollover feature, which allows customers to keep unused anytime calling minutes for up to a year.
“Unlike some other providers’ plans, with Cingular, our national mobile-to-mobile calling area and our anytime minute calling area are one and the same,” explained Glen Moyes, Cingular’s marketing director for New York City. “There’s no need to worry if you will incur roaming charges because you are ‘out’ of network. It’s a significant difference our customers appreciate. It means no surprise charges, no roaming and no long distance, no matter where our customers are using their phone.”
