LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif.-The OTA Flash Forum, which is a special interest group addressing the technical and operational issues surrounding over-the-air management of mobile devices, added several members to its group including Alltel Corp., mFormation, Mobile Diagnostix, Sprint Corp., U.S. Cellular Corp. and SDSGlobal. The new members join the forum’s original founders including Bitfone Corp., Gemplus, Motorola Inc., Orange and T-Mobile USA Inc.
“Our expanding membership illustrates the growing importance of OTA technology in today’s wireless environment, and we encourage other carriers, handset manufacturers and wireless solution providers to join us in our efforts to solve the many deployment challenges of mobile device management,” said Gene Wang, chief executive officer of Bitfone and chairman of the OTA Flash Forum.
