MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.-MobileSys Inc. launched its MobileSys Network last week, and made partnerships with WebLink Wireless Inc. and Glenayre Technologies Inc. to expand its enterprise data solution to wireless networks.
The MobileSys Network is designed to accelerate the deployment and maintenance of wireless messaging in the corporate enterprise by integrating the MobileSys MX two-way messaging engine. The company said the solution provides enterprise customers with an outsourced method of supporting worldwide wireless data and messaging services.
It includes e-mail, network management, customer call center and sales force automation. The network relies on establishing relationships with wireless carriers worldwide, and chose WebLink as its U.S. wireless data provider. WebLink has given MobileSys a dedicated line to its nationwide ReFLEX two-way network.
Glenayre, said it will partner with MobileSys to develop wireless enabling solutions for enterprise customers using Glenayre’s @ctivelink ReFLEX 25 module for the Handspring Visor handheld computer.
The @ctivelink two-way wireless messaging module gives Visor users wireless Internet access. Using the MobileSys MX product, these users will now have additional access to corporate enterprise applications like e-mail, network management, customer call center, sales force automation and others.
The MobileSys MX product is a scalable server solution designed to manage large numbers of recipients over any wireless protocol and service provider, the company said.
