BEACHWOOD, Ohio-At Allen Telecom Inc.’s annual meeting, President and Chief Executive Officer Robert Paul said the company has significant opportunities in the geolocation market with its Geomatrix system, and noted that every division within the company had opportunities to participate in the growth of third generation wireless markets.
“The [Federal Communications Commissions] requirement that carriers must specify the type of technology they plan to deploy for determining the location of emergency 911 callers on wireless phone systems by October 2000, has dramatically increased our activity level with the wireless carriers,” Paul explained. “Our ability to demonstrate [Advanced Mobile Phone Service], [Code Division Multiple Access], [Time Division Multiple Access], and [integrated Dispatched Enhanced Network] compatibility on our private network has significantly reinforced our technology’s viability.”
Paul added that the company is continuing to spend research and development resources to ensure its prominence in the 3G market.
