Cellular signal booster company Wilson Electronics has already begun to receive pre-orders for the company?s first 5G cellular amplifier, the Pro 710i, the firm said in a release.

Wilson Electronics said that its new single-band, commercial-grade amplifier will boost cellular signals on Band 71 (600 MHz).

The company also announced that the new 5G cellular amplifier will be publicly available for purchase in summer 2020.

The Pro 710i?s single indoor antenna port boasts over 23 dBm of downlink power and provides up to 100,000 square feet of indoor coverage, making it suitable for large commercial buildings looking to improve their 5G cellular connectivity, the company said.

Wilson Electronics highlighted that the amplifier will fit the needs of hotels, healthcare facilities, schools, manufacturing plants, commercial and residential real estate properties, among others. The Pro 710i makes reliable 5G signal available for an entire building?s tenants, employees and visitors who subscribe to carriers who utilize Band 71.

?5G is poised to transform the wireless industry as we know it, with the potential to connect more people than ever before,? said Bruce Lancaster, CEO of Wilson Electronics. ?But 5G signals will struggle to penetrate buildings, just as 4G signals struggle today, so cellular signal amplifiers will be the only way to make 5G accessible to the majority of users.?

?Wilson Electronics has always been at the forefront of wireless technology innovation, and the upcoming release of the Pro 710i will allow large commercial buildings to take advantage of 5G?s rapid download speeds, enhanced connectivity and responsiveness for the first time,? the executive added.

The new Pro 710i cellular amplifier can be used as a standalone product to support the ongoing 5G rollout on Band 71 for T-Mobile, US Cellular and other carriers. It can also be easily installed to run in parallel with any existing WilsonPro amplifier system without the need to replace existing amplifiers, the company said.

The Pro710i is certified under FCC Part 20 Industrial Cellular Amplifier Rules, which means that applicable carrier approval is required for operation. However, the Pro 710i doesn?t require permission from every carrier prior to installation; instead, it only requires registration and approval by any carrier broadcasting Band 71 in that area, Wilson said.

Also, the new amplifier features eXtended Dynamic Range (XDR) technology to automatically adjust to any changes in outdoor signal quality, ensuring that the amplifier will never experience signal overload or shut down.
