AWS joins Fortinet Fabric-Ready Partner Program
Fortinet, a global leader in high-performance cybersecurity solutions, announced it has extended its virtualized Security Fabric applications to Amazon Web Services (AWS) customers with an encompassing set of solutions that can be managed through a centralized console. The agreement is part of the Fortinet Fabric-Ready Partner Program, which allows Fortinet and partners to collaboratively integrate and provide end-to-end security.
The Fortinet Security Fabric provides an intelligent, architectural approach to security, which allows enterprises to combine discrete security solutions, from firewalls to secure access points, into an unified whole. Fortinet and AWS will build upon their existing relationship through the Fortinet Fabric-Ready Partner Program, where AWS has been validated within the Fortinet Security Fabric.
The companies said they will work together to provide greater security automation through Fortinet Security Fabric open APIs, which enable organizations to integrate existing security and networking investments into the Fortinet Security Fabric. In particular, AWS and Fortinet said they would focus on technology integration with the Security Fabric, share best practices regarding interoperability, and collaborate for the benefit of customers.

By collaborating with Fortinet, we give our customers an additional option when selecting their security solutions,” said David Wright, general manager, Worldwide Strategic Technology Partners, AWS. “Our customers can now benefit from a robust set of integrated security capabilities built around open APIs for infrastructure flexibility, control and end-to-end visibility.”
Fortinet said its broad cloud applications portfolio on AWS Marketplace complements AWS services with advanced security management, intelligence correlation, compliance guidance and reporting. Fortinet solutions that combine with AWS include endpoint, network, web and email security, cloud sandboxing, SIEM and log analytics.
Having one cloud security provider to protect all types of workloads running on AWS allows customers to benefit from a single security management console, with consistent updates and licensing models across all their cloud security applications, according to the company. Fortinet also announced its cloud security applications portfolio in AWS includes FortiSandbox and FortiSIEM in the AWS Marketplace.
The news follows less than a week after Fortinet announced the addition of 11 technology providers to its Fabric-Ready Partner Program, including ADVA Optical Networking, Bradford Networks, Cyber Observer, CSPi, FireMon, ForeScout Technologies, Intel Corporation, Microsoft Azure, Ribbon Communications (formerly Sonus Networks) and SentinelOne.
