Senet partners with IoT-focused water company
Senet, the North American provider of public, low-power, wide-area networks (LPWANs) for long range (LoRa)-based internet of things (IoT) applications, today announced Trimble will use its wireless technology to allow water utilities to remotely measure and monitor water, wastewater and groundwater systems including water pressures, flows, levels and rainfall volumes.

Senet will bring its LoRa LPWAN network to connect Trimble’s suite of new, LoRa-enabled Telog 41 Series water monitoring sensors. The sensors provide a range of monitoring capabilities to include water system pressures, level monitoring to measure levels of water in various resources such as aquifers, reservoirs and towers, flow monitoring, pulse and event monitoring and rainfall monitoring. These devices have the ability to communicate with the Senet network from long-range and have long battery life, providing a lower cost of total ownership for Trimble customers, according to Senet.

Ingenu expands into three new markets
Earlier this week, Ingenu, powered by the in-house RPMA (Random Phase Multiple Access) technology, announced its continued rapid expansion into three more U.S. cities: Indianapolis, Salt Lake City and Tampa Bay.
Indianapolis
The first RPMA deployment in the Midwest will support manufacturing, precision agriculture and other IoT applications, according to Ingenu.
Salt lake City
Ingenu’s LPWA network will serve mining, smart city, energy and IoT applications in the Rocky Mountains.
Tampa Bay
“The Machine Network” covers more than three million residents in the Tampa Bay area, supporting solutions covering environmental monitoring, logistics and transportation, as well as smart city and smart grid.
