Huawei Innovative Indoor Connected Solution Builds 2016 MWC Smart Venue

2016 Mobile World Congress (MWC) will be held in Barcelona on 22-25 Feb, there will be more than 100,000 worldwide guests attending it, the mobile traffic is expected to increase by 3 times. Meanwhile, there are more than 2500 booths within 60,000 square meters of exhibition area, the LBS application requirements like location navigation is increasing fast and strong.

This year, Huawei will improve user mobile service experience by providing innovative Indoor Connected Solution (ICS) for MWC exhibition hall, guests will enjoy superb mobile data services, and further explore the indoor digital transformation.

Moreover, Huawei deep analyzed the traffic growth in Barcelona, and in particular traffic characteristics in exhibition halls during previous MWC events. Through the multi-dimensional network evaluation, precisely identify the distribution of different services and experience requirements; furthermore based on long-term investment income analysis, customize comprehensive upgrade solution for MWC exhibition halls.

MWC exhibition hall like the stadium has very similar characteristics due to open building structure. Hence, how to meet large traffic demand in high-density connection scenario and control interference, has been a major challenge for this kind of scenario. Based on the experience of construction and assurance gathered from the Brazil World Cup Stadium and China Bird’s Nest, Huawei selects the antenna types according to characteristics of the building by accurate stadium modeling and signal prediction, to effectively control the interference and maximize network capacity.
