TE Connectivity – HetNet Happenings: Episode 21

HetNet Happenings is brought to you by CommScope.

On this episode of HetNet Happenings, host Sean Kinney, managing editor for RCR Wireless News takes a look at how CPRI–common public radio interface–can be applied to digital DAS (distributed antenna system) deployments.

Kinney looks at an interview with Boris Golubovic, director of product management at TE Connectivity, discusses CPRI with RCR Wireless News Editor Martha DeGrasse.

Gulobovic comments on the research and development work done by TE Connectivity in conjunction with equipment manufacturer Alcatel-Lucent, as well as using CPRI to centralize DAS head-end units, which can serve to drive down the cost of DAS deployment.

Gulobovic and DeGrasse also talk about multi-band, multi-carrier DAS setups.
