CES 2015: Petcube, connecting wirelessly to cats

LAS VEGAS – If you can’t stand the thought of leaving your pet at home alone, Petcube may be the product you’re looking for. The device allows pet owners to watch, talk and play with their four-legged friends with the touch of a smartphone.

The device comes equipped with a camera, speaker and laser to make sure pets never feel alone. At a demonstration at CES 2015 in Las Vegas, Petcube demonstrated the product through its free apps. The app connected to a room of cats in Oakland, Calif., and users were able to use the laser to engage the cats to follow it around and play.

The Petcube costs $199 and was started through a Kickstarter fund. The device is available on the Petcube website.
