iPhone sales break records (RCR Mobile Minute)

Mobile Minute
The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus broke previous iPhone launch records this weekend, with 10 million models sold between Friday morning and Sunday night. The new phones are available now in the United States, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore and the U.K. With larger screens and more storage than previous models, the new iPhones are expected to encourage more video sharing and large file downloads. Analysts say these phones will tax mobile networks more than previous iPhones, but believe service providers are ready, for the most part.

The only thing that may dampen the data deluge associated with the new iPhones is Apple’s inability to fulfill demand right away. A number of would-be buyers are waiting for the iPhone 6 or 6 Plus. Here in the United States, there are at least 11 places to get a new iPhone, if you can find one in stock.
