Mobile Minute:
Being at the Superbowl is apparently not enough for some fans – last year the NFL found that lots of people were live streaming the game to their mobile devices while watching it. This year, the NFL will block live streams of the game inside MetLife Stadium, according to a report from Ars Technica. An NFL executive said that both NLF.com and Fox Sports will live stream the Superbowl, but both of these will be blocked inside the stadium on both Wi-Fi and cellular networks. The decision was made to insure that the bandwidth inside the stadium can support more people using their devices to text, check stats and share pictures on social media. The NFL said that last year it also blocked the live stream, but the decision to do that was not made until after the game started.
