Telecom Analytics: Redknee Solutions lands top APAC operator as client; this week’s releases

Redknee Solutions announced that a tier 1 operator in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region is launching its latest policy management solution, PCS-5000. A provider of billing and charging software and solutions for communication service providers, Redknee Solutions didn’t name the operator but did state that the solution will support the carrier’s launch of voice over LTE (VoLTE) services. The vendor also noted that the operator aims to deploy innovative data plans and offerings, and deliver an advanced customer experience.

Redknee’s PCS-5000 supports about 55 operators with nearly 1.2 billion subscribers around the world. In a statement, Lucas Skoczkowski, CEO of Redknee, commented that the solution is “enabling operators to maximize the return on their 4G investment, build a competitive advantage through innovative data and multimedia services and improve the quality of experience to their subscribers.”

Skoczkowski said that Redknee will continue to invest in its comprehensive portfolio of billing, charging, policy and customer care solutions.

According to Shira Levine, Infonetics Research directing analyst for service enablement and subscriber intelligence, when a policy solution is combined with a real-time charging engine, it increases its value exponentially by facilitating innovative pricing models.
