Uruguay will auction spectrum frequencies in the 900 MHz, 1.9 GHz and 1.7-2.1 GHz bands. The Regulatory Unit of Communications Services (URSEC) announced that it has made the auction bidding terms and conditions available to interested parties. The blocks to be auctioned are:
According to Signals Telecom News, a syndicated partner of RCR Wireless News, the statement of conditions will cost U.S.$3,600 and will be available until February 26, 2013 at URSEC headquarters.
The deadline for the initial deposit at URSEC is March 6, 2013. The auction (or so-called final instance procedure) will take place on March 13 at the regulator’s headquarters.
