[Rough Translation from Spanish release]

April 5, 2011 .- The telecommunications company VTR joined the Association of Mobile Telephony, ATELMO, composed of the major mobile companies in Chile.

VTR’s decision to join was born out of their interest to participate in the agenda for the future of the sector, and collaborate on different topics as part of the development of the industry.

“There are some significant challenges for the mobile industry that are in the interest of the country and which deserve collaboration. One is the future sustainability of the development of telecommunications networks, “said John Vasquez, vice president of Products and Corporate Strategy VTR.

William Pickering, president of ATELMO, welcomed the entry of VTR and explained that this would strengthen the representativeness of the trade organization. He added that “with the entrance of VTR into the guild the organization is strengthened, since it will now be composed of all the mobile telecommunications companies currently operating in the country.”
