NBN Co has appointed IBM as the prime integrator for its operational support system (OSS) and business support system (BSS).
The three-year deal will see IBM partner with NBN Co to deliver an end-to-end platform that will allow retail service providers to order new services, report faults and monitor performance on the $36 billion fibre network.
Under the deal IBM will lead subcontractors and software providers in developing the platform. It’s expected the overall project will cost more than $200 million.
