AUSTIN-Freescale Semiconductor is preparing to announce advancements resulting in a new portfolio of wireless networking technologies that they say are currently unavailable in the market. An announcement and demonstration of this portfolio of wireless network/access technologies will be made at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next week.
The Austin-based company’s new product line addresses several popular base station models and is designed to dramatically reduce the cost and energy consumption of wireless infrastructure equipment even as demand for wireless delivery of rich content skyrockets.
