Telmex to see some synergies with América Móvil in 2011, CFO says – Mexico

Mexican telecoms operator Telmex expects to see some synergies with its controlling company América Móvil (NYSE: AMX) this year, Telmex CFO Adolfo Cerezo said in a conference call with investors.

“We will have some synergies related basically with the optimization of the use of telecoms platforms,” Cerezo said.

The executive said that both Telmex and sister company América Móvil are not planning to market their services together since this is not allowed by the regulator. “We are not expecting to have a change regarding this issue, at least in the short term,” he added.
