AT&T Mobility (T) is gearing up to launch a mobile hotspot application on Feb. 13.
Making its debut on HTC Corp.’s Inspire 4G device, the AT&T mobile hotspot application will cost $20 a month for 2 GB of data. Bundled with the AT&T Data Pro plan, customers will pay $45 for a combined 4 GB of data.
Customers that are currently on AT&T’s smart phone tethering plan will automatically see their monthly data usage limits increase to 2 GB to match the mobile hotspot offering. AT&T says it will charge $10 for every gigabyte of data overage.
