HONG KONG, Jan. 11, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia-FirstCall/ — VODone Limited (“VODone” or the “Group”: Stock code: 0082), a leading new media company in the PRC, has announced on 6 January 2011 that, China Mobile Games and Entertainment Group Limited (“CMGE”) was established by integrating Dragon Joyce Group, OWX HK and 3GUU Group respectively controlled by Group.
CMGE has been formed and become the largest mobile game developer in the PRC in terms of revenue, net profit, handset coverage, number of paid subscribers and has possessed the full set of mobile game publication and business licenses. Dragon Joyce Group, a member of the new Group, is an international professional mobile game developer specialized in co-operations with Chinese-brand mobile handset manufacturers and solution providers, whereby it pre-installs over 100 self-developed stand-alone and online mobile games into PRC manufactured mobile phones. OWX HK Group, is a telecommunication product / mobile handset design house, and a leader of wireless telecommunication technology solutions in the PRC, whereas 3GUU Group specializes in developing mobile games for smart phones in format such as JAVA, Android and iPhone etc.
After over five years of operation, the Group has already established a prime positioning comprising one platform and three spotlights, namely, one platform – VODone mini-video news portal (v1.cn) and three spotlights – mobile lottery, mobile games and mobile LBS SNS (Linfo). The establishment of CMGE will play a significant role in VODone’s mobile games business strategy.
The mobile games sector in the PRC will continue to increase significantly as the industrial scale of the current domestic mobile games market is expanding continuously and the proportion of mobile game users in the mobile internet users continue to increase every year.
